PURPOSE:To reduce the pitch of a slab transporting roller and to transport the short slab by transporting the slab holding a preventing device against lower buckling between an inlet and an outlet pinch roller. CONSTITUTION:A hot slab transporting device are provided with rollers 3 and an arm 4 holding a preventing device 8 against lower buckling between an inlet 2 and an outlet pinch roller 2' provided on an inlet 1 and an outlet housing 1' of a press body and a frame 11 and a swing device 7 holding a short slab transporting device of the drives 5, 6 for the roller 3. Accordingly, a slab 10 having a length L' shorter than a distance L between the inlet and the outlet pinch roller, too, can be transported. |
