<p>PURPOSE:To make continuous work possible to an aerial cable by stripping the cover of cable automatically to expose the conductors and to polish them automatically in making a tool for this specific use. CONSTITUTION:When a hydraulic motor of a robot is turned positively, an input shaft 21 rotates, a shaft 15 rotates through a gear, a driven gear 44 rotates through the gear and the stripping section 40 and a polishing section 41 rotate accordingly. When a rotor 45 turns, the tip of blade of a cutting edge 56 moves radially and digs into the cable by the thickness of the cover of the cable. The driven gear 44, rotors 45 and 46, a spacer and a cutter rotate around the cable and the cutter strips the cover of cable with the cutting edge 56. When the hydraulic motor is turned reversely, wire brushes 76 and 77 are gradually brought into contact with conductors with the rotation of a rotor 71. A polishing appliance 73 rotates around the conductors along with the rotor 71 and continuously polishes the conductors with wire brushes 76 and 77.</p> |
