PURPOSE:To eliminate the need of a special heating unit by introducing compressed air from an air compressing unit into a waste ozone treatment tower to dry the ozone decomposition catalyst packed in the tower and treating alternatively two waste ozone treatment towers with compressed air. CONSTITUTION:There are provided the air compressing unit 4, a cooler 6, a dehumidifier 8, an ozone generator 10, an ozone reaction vessel 16 where the liquid 14 to be treated is treated with ozone, and a 1st and 2nd waste ozone treatment towers 20a, 20b in which ozone decomposition catalyst 18 is packed and the waste gaseous ozone sent from the vessel 16 is decomposed. The inlet side of the two waste ozone treatment towers disposed in parallel are connected with the waste ozone discharge side of the vessel 16 by a gaseous waste ozone piping 24. The compressed air sent from the unit 4 is branched through an air piping 26 and introduced to the inlet side of two waste ozone treatment towers. The opening and closing operation of each piping 26, 24 is carried out by solenoid valves 22a, 22b, 23a, 23b. As a result, the need of a special heating unit is eliminated. |
