This device includes two covers 1a, 1b capable of covering both parts of such a court. Each of these covers, made from lightweight fabric or the like, is attached at one of its ends to the inner wall of a storage bag 5 of elongate form capable of containing this cover when the latter is folded up or rolled up on itself. The other edges of each of these covers are weighed-down by a lead-weighted cord or the like attached to these edges or housed in a hem provided on the latter. Preferably, the free edges of the two covers are extended by parts 10a, 10b intended to cover the central net 3 of the tennis court by being superposed over each other. This device is intended to be used to protect a tennis court against the risk of damage due to rainfall. <IMAGE>
