The light fitting has a housing (1) enclosing a lamp element (2), incorporated in the ceiling of the room. The housing (1) has four attached cooling medium lines (3), for direct cooling of the lamp reflector (9). The projected surface area of the lamp housing (1) is less than that of the effective heat transfer surface. The housing (1) has a U shaped cross-section with the lamp element at its centre, enclosed by a W cross-section rear reflector (9). ADVANTAGE - Increased cooling efficiency.
