PURPOSE:To increase a work accuracy by making a U-shaped column of a movable type and making the column sliding face which becomes the sliding face of the column and a bed, about coincident with the horizontal face passing the work face of the body to be ground placed on a table. CONSTITUTION:A table 20 is slidably placed on a recess at the center of a bed 10. A U-shaped column 50 is placed slidably in the direction crossing with the sliding direction of the table 20 on the placing parts 11, 12 formed at both ends by interposing the table 20 of this bed 10. A vertically movable work grindstone 70 is superposed on the horizontal part 53 forming this portal column 50. Moreover, a column sliding face 80 becoming the sliding face of this portal column 50 and bed 10 is formed at the position almost coincident with the plane passing the work face of the body 40 to be ground placed on the table 20. Consequently the work accuracy of the body to be ground can be improved. |
