A compressed glass plate is manufactured by the stages of crushing the colored cullet to make colored particle (1) having particle size of 10-15 mm, crushing transparent cullet to make the powdered glass (2) having particle size of 100-200 mesh, laying sand (4) shallowly in a glass-smelting mould-furnace, spreading the powdered glass (2) on the sand, arranging the colored glass particle (1) at regular intervals on the powdered glass, heating at 900-1100 deg.C for 30 minutes and cooling. Because of diffusing the colored particle glass in the powdered glass, the produced glass plate has a beautiful appearance.
