<p>PURPOSE: To generate better fusion between a tubular joint and pipe by bonding the adjacent bent parts of an electric wire at a helical part of an electric heating element together with only a thermoplastic insulator. CONSTITUTION: An annular electric heating element 22 is formed in the inner surface 15 of a saddle part 16 which in turn, encircles an open hole 19, and electric contactors 24, 26 are connected to delivery wires 28, 30 for the heating element 22. When using the electric heating element 22, a tee-tubular joint for the saddle part 16 is melted into contact with pipe 12 by applying current to the heating element 22, so that the thermoplastic material of the tubular joint 10 and the pipe 12 near the heating element 22 are melted together. One that the tubular joint 10 has been melted into contact with the pipe 12, a circular open hole 18 is formed in the pipe 12 which is a pipe communicating with the inside of a pipe stub 14. Thus it is easy to form the open hole 18 by stretching a perforator in such a way that it penetrates the inside of the pipe stub 14 to come into contact with the pipe 12.</p> |
