<p>PURPOSE:To suppress the floating of a magnetic tape from a magnetic head by setting up the depth of a dynamic pressure group and a distance between a face opposed to the magnetic tape and the magnetic tape so that the pressure of an air film generated between the magnetic tape and a dynamic pressure generating member is higher than the pressure of an air film generated between the magnetic tape and the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:The depth of a dynamic pressure group 5b and a distance between a face opposed to the magnetic tape 2 and the magnetic tape 2 is set up so that the pressure of an air film generated between the magnetic tape 2 and a dynamic pressure generating member 5 is higher than the pressure of an air film generated between the magnetic tape 2 and the magnetic head 1 at the time of traveling of the magnetic tape 2. The increased pressure of the air film due to the group 5b acts upon the tape 2 as dynamic pressure in the direction orthogonal to the traveling direction. Consequently, the separation of the magnetic tape 2 from the magnetic tape 1 is suppressed and a contact property between the tape 2 and the head 1 is improved.</p> |
