In this device including means 20, 36, 38, 40 serving for preparing data on a basic figure which are necessary for reproducing such a figure on an output medium, and processing means 20, 40, 42 defining an additional figure attached to the basic figure and for preparing data on the additional figure which are necessary for reproduction of it on the output medium, the means 20, 40, 42 prepare data on a standard additional figure, which are necessary for attaching at least one standard additional figure to the basic figure according to a predetermined relationship with the latter, and select a part of the data of the standard additional figure which correspond to a part of the standard additional figure satisfying a predetermined condition.
