<p>PURPOSE:To perform the test for normalcy of a communication line without depending on the kind of the communication line by providing a transmission part and a reception part for a PB signal at both ends of the communication line, respectively, and performing the test by sending the PB signal to the line. CONSTITUTION:The transmission parts 2 and 6 to send the PB signal to an opponent, the reception parts 3 and 5 to receive the PB signal from the opponent, and a switching parts 4 and 7 to switch the transmission side end of the communication line 1 at communication equipment 10 and 11 and the transmission parts 2 and 6 are provided. Furthermore, control parts 8 and 9 which perform the registration of a test start signal, a test signal, and a test stopping signal for the start, execution, and stoppage of a line test on the transmission parts 2 and 6 and the judgement of a reception signal at the reception parts 3 and 5 by an instruction from the communication equipment 10 and 11 and issue the notice of abnormality in the line 1 when it is detected to the communication equipment 10 and 11 are provided. The test for normalcy is performed by connecting the line 1 to the transmission parts 2 and 6 by the switching parts 4 and 7 in null time when no communication equipment 10 and 11 are used and sending the PB signal to the line 1. In such a way, it is possible to perform the test for the communication line 1 in two directions regardless of the kind of the line.</p> |
