<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily adjust the moving speed of a pointer on a personal computer screen by calculating the pointer moving speed from the manipulated quantity of the auxiliary input device by a user and a predetermined pointer movement quantity. SOLUTION: When an operation state stored in an operation state storage means 41 is a pointer moving speed setting state, an operation determining means 42 passes the control to a movement quantity acquiring means 43. The movement quantity acquiring means 43 after obtaining the horizontal and vertical movement manipulated quantity of a mouse 2' stores the horizontal mouse movement quantity in a horizontal movement quantity storage means 44 and passes the control to a pointer position changing means 52. The pointer position changing means 52 obtains a moving speed A from a moving speed storage means 45 and calculates a new pointer position by multiplying the horizontal manipulated quantity and vertical manipulated quantity obtained from the movement quantity acquiring means 43 by the moving speed A to change the pointer position. Consequently, the moving speed can be set by clicking the mouse 2' double, moving it by a desired movement quantity, and then clicking the mouse double.</p> |
