<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a bottle remarkably excellent in gas barrier capability having transparency and heat resistance by a method wherein the bottle is made of polyethylene naphthalate resin and carbon dioxide gas transmission coefficient and average thickness coefficient at the center of a cylinder except a bottle mouth are specified. CONSTITUTION:A bottle is made of polyethylene naphthalate resin wherein carbon dioxide gas transmission coefficient Pc defined by Pc=PXf (where P refers to carbon dioxide transmission coefficient (cc/day.atm) of the whole bottle, and f4=S/V(cm<-1>) where S is an inner surface area of an oriented bottle except that at the bottle mouth, and V refers to an inner volume of the oriented bottle except that at the bottle mouth) is 0.13 cc.cm/day.atm or less, preferably 0.12cc.cm/day.atm or less, more preferably 0.10cc.cm/day.atm or less. In addition, the average thickness coefficient tc at the center of a body except the bottle mouth defined by tc=tXfX10 (where t refers to the average thickness (mm) at the center of the body except the bottle mouth and f refers to the same as the above) is 0.2 or less, preferably 0.18 or less.</p> |
