PURPOSE:To adjust optical axes only by sliding the guides of an optical fiber supporting part to guide grooves by aligning and superposing the guides of the optical fiber supporting part on the guide grooves of a base. CONSTITUTION:The guide grooves 11 for positioning the optical fiber supporting part 10 are provided on a base 21. The guide grooves 11 are formed by dipping the base in an etchant while an insulating film 16 is used as a mask. The optical axes of the optical fibers 26 and an LED array 23 are adjusted by sliding the guides 12 provided on the fiber supporting part 10 to the guide grooves 11 provided on the base 21 and fixed thereafter with solder or an adhesive. Thus, fiber array pitch, LED array pitch, the interval between the optical fibers 26 and guides 12, and the intervals between the LED array 23 and guide grooves 11 are accurately set with mask accuracy, so (x)-directional adjustments are not necessary. Further, the rotating direction need not be adjusted since the guides 12 and optical fibers 26, and guide grooves 11 and LED array 23 are set in parallel. |
