PURPOSE:To secure the amount of illumination light even if the vertical width of illumination is made small by forming the low beam with a light interrupting body disposed in the path of light irradiated from an auxiliary filament, and by forming the high beam with a light distribution pattern with the light of a main filament reflected with a plurality of reflecting surfaces. CONSTITUTION:For the low beam, light rays from an auxiliary filament 10 are concentrated with an upper reflecting surface 13, and a light interrupting body 5 having a light interrupting edge is disposed near the position where light rays are concentrated to form a light distribution pattern. For the high beam, light rays from a main filament are concentrated with upper and lower reflecting surfaces 13, 14 to form a vertically extending portion, and a light distribution pattern is formed with light rays concentrated with right and left inner reflecting surfaces 15, 16 and with parallel light rays from outer rotary parabolic reflecting surfaces 17, 18. Thus, the amount of illumination light is secured even if the vertical width of illumination is made small by utilizing the merits of headlamps of projector type and a type using the rotary parabolic reflectors. |
