PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road side-vehicle communication system in which a vehicle can automatically receive only new service by one onboard device when two roadside communication devices provide new service and old service at the same time in the service of providing information on a forward obstacle, etc., between the road side and the vehicle. SOLUTION: In this road side-vehicle communication system, the onboard device recognizes provision of the new service by the information from the roadside communication device providing the old service, and does not perform communication connection to the roadside communication device.
