PURPOSE:To eliminate the idle time for the driving of a recording head, by varying the scanning time of a line of a CCD in accordance with the size of the recording paper. CONSTITUTION:An original (not shown in the figure) is scanned by an optical scanning system 54 and read by a CCD407 which is controlled by the clock of a clock circuit 40. This read signal is temporarily recorded to a memory 44 via the circuits 41-43. The read signals in the memory 44 are recorded at the plural circuits comprising the buffer circuits 48-50, driving circuits 51-53 and recording heads 10-30. The above-mentioned operation is controlled by a main control circuit 46, and the circuit 46 switches the clock speed of the circuit 40 in accordance with the size of the member to be recorded which is sent from a control panel 47. Thus the reading speed of the original is varied for the CCD, and at the same time a paper feed system 55 is controlled to vary the feeding speed of the member to be recorded. In such way, the recording speed is increased. |
