PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of a magnetic head by inhibiting a shutter opening and closing mechanism from moving in a shutter opening direction during the ejection of a cartridge until a cartridge holder moving mechanism moves a cartridge holder almost to its nonengagement position. CONSTITUTION:When the cartridge 1 is inserted into the holder 18, the cartridge 1 moves forth while restrained between a holder base part 19 and presser plates 22 and 23, and the front end of the case 3 engages the pin 50 of a shutter opening and closing lever 47, so that the pin 50 enters a recessed part 9. The cartridge 1 is further inserted continuously to rotate a lever 47 clockwise, and the pin 50 presses a shutter 8 until its opening 8a coincides with the opening 6 of the case 3, so that the magnetic disk 2 is exposed. When the holder 18 further moves, a head support arm engagement part 23b is displaced and a head arm 14 is rotated with the force of a spring 15a, so that heads 11 and 12 enter a loading state wherein recording and reproduction are possible. In this case, the head 12 is lowered after the shutter 8 is opened completely, so the head 12 never strikes the shutter 8. |
