PURPOSE:To perform highly accurate toner end detection with simple constitution by outputting a toner end signal when a rotational period detected by a rotational period detecting means becomes shorter than a rotational period stored in a storage means. CONSTITUTION:The rotational load on an agitating means 33 decreases as the remaining amount of toner 34 in a toner container 31 decreases, so its rotational period becomes short. Here, the rotational period detecting means 53 detects the rotational period of the agitating means 33 and when the rotational period becomes shorter than the rotational period stored previously in the storage means 54 at the time of the limit rest of the toner 34, that is decided and the toner end signal is outputted. Consequently, the accurate toner end detection is enabled without using any complex mechanism component, etc. |
