PURPOSE: To facilitate radial adjustment of a cutting insert, by providing a reamer-form rotary cutting tool with a pair of guide pads for stabilizing cutting, and the cutting insert combined with various structural features convenient for adjustment. CONSTITUTION: A holder 4 has a horizontal axis 10 and a vertical axis 8, and the axis 8 and the axis 10 intersect a longitudinal axis 16. A drilled hole 32 is provided along an axis 34 away from the axis 10 in parallel in the condition that it extends from a surface 16 to the inside of the holder 4. Similarly, a drilled hole 32 is provided along an axis 40 in the condition that it extends from the surface 16 to the inside of the holder 4. A drilled hole 42 extending to the inside of the holder 4 is provided along an axis 44, and a recessed part 46 is provided along an axis taking an angle of 50 deg. relative to the axis 8. A cutting insert is installed as described here. A guiding pad 54 is positioned in a recessed part 22, and a guiding pad 60 is positioned in a recessed part 26. |
