PROCESS FOR STORING COLOUR TELEVISION SIGNALS

A process is disclosed for storing colour television signals in a digital memory. In known devices, the colour signal is first demodulated before being stored in a memory, then modulated again when it is read out of the memory, at great expense in circuitry. According to the invention, the colour vector is stored together with the burst, which serves as a reference frequency for a phase regulating circuit arranged after the memory. The reference frequency is compared with the burst of the colour signal of the main image. The invention is useful for reproducing images within images in coulour television receiver sets.
