In known theft-proof attachment devices for wheels, the removal of cover caps arranged on the attachment screws is only possible with a considerable expenditure of force and with the use of for example screwdrivers or pliers. Additionally, there is a considerable risk of injury and damage. The new attachment device is intended to permit the fitting and removal of the cover cap to be carried out easily and quickly. For this purpose, engagement faces (18) which can be engaged with a commercially available tool are provided on the cover cap (6). When the cover cap (6) is rotated, both knob-shaped elevations (9, 10) and (11) formed on the end side of the head (8) of the screw and knob-shaped elevations (12, 13 and 14) formed correspondingly on the cover cap (6) cause the cover cap (6) to be lifted off. The anti-theft attachment device for a wheel is particularly suitable for wheel discs (2) which have deep holes (4) for receiving the attachment screws (7). <IMAGE>
