Machine consisting of a frame 1 which can be fixed to the rear region of a conventional tractor 8, on which frame there is a crank shaft 6 which can in turn be coupled to the power take-off the tractor and is capable of supplying, via a bent connecting rod 10, a longitudinal movement to a bar 15 which, under the tractor 8, is directed towards the front region of the latter, going beyond it, in order to receive, in an articulated manner, a long arm 20 finishing at its free end in jaws 21, for taking hold of the olive-tree branches, which can be actuated from the tractor cabin and with the aid of a small hydraulic cylinder 29, this arm 20 also being connected to a support structure 24 secured to the front region of the tractor 8 by means of a spring 26 or other suitable elastic element. <IMAGE>
