CUTTER DEVICE FOR REMOVING BURR FROM GEAR-SHAPED WORK MADE OF SHEET METAL

PURPOSE:To urge each cutting edge of a burr removing cutter uniformly against tooth faces so as to completely remove burr with one time of operation irrespective of dispersion of work dimension by said each cutting edge contacting elastically the tooth surfaces to remove burr. CONSTITUTION:A gear-shaped work 50 is set and then located on a work holder 2 through a guide of a guide block 5. A cutter 10 is rotated clockwise by return of a coil spring 19 to urge elastically each cutting edge 10b against tooth faces having burr F produced at tooth bottoms 50b. Burr F produced on the tooth faces 50 is always removed by the cutting edges 10b pressed against the tooth faces irrespective of circumferential pitch errors of tooth form 50a caused by dimensional dispersion of a work.
