PURPOSE:To surely keep the movement performance through the assisting steering in unchanged state for a long period by correcting the assisting steering quantity on the basis of the detection value of the tire abrasion of a wheel, in the constitution in which at least one between the front and rear wheels is assisting - steered in the front wheel steering. CONSTITUTION:A rear wheel steering controller which is controlled in interlocking with the front wheel steering is equipped with a spring center type double action hydraulic cylinder 9, and the hydraulic pressure is supply/ discharge-controlled through an electromagnetic proportional type pressure control valve 12 for two chambers. The electric conduction for the right and left solenoids 12L and 12R of the pressure control valve 12 is controlled by a controller 17 on the basis of the outputs of a steering angle sensor 18, car speed sensor 19, etc. In this case, a tire abrasion detecting means 20 is installed, and rear wheels are assisting-steered on the basis of a prescribed control function, in the front wheel steering, and the control function is treated with the processing for applying the weighting function as the function of the tire abrasion degree according to the result of the detection of the tire abrasion degree and the assisting steering quantity for the rear wheels 2L and 2R is corrected. |
