The device is characterised in that it comprises a hopper 5 which can slide longitudinally in the said box structure 3, towards the rear of the latter, from a position in which it is located below a loading opening made in the upper face of the said box structure 3, and vice versa; a rammer 6 mounted in the said hopper 5, in its lower part and capable of sliding in the latter in the longitudinal direction of the said box structure 3; and means 7, 8 mounted laterally relative to the said box structure 3 in order to seize a waste container 9 and empty it into the opening of the said hopper 5.
