PROCESSES FOR ASSIGNING IGNITION SIGNALS TO A REFERENCE CYLINDER

Processes are useful for assigning ignition signals to a reference cylinder in multispark ignition installations in spark-ignited internal combustion engines. In a first process, different signal levels are used to assign the ignition signals to the main sparks and the auxiliary sparks, and in a second process, the time shift between the beginning of the main sparks and the beginning of the auxiliary sparks is used to assign the ignition signals to the main sparks and the auxiliary sparks.
