A laundry drier has an interior space (13) accessible through a door (11), for receiving laundry. Steam-laden hot air (60) from the interior space (13) and a cooling medium can be introduced into a condenser. The air (60) and the cooling medium are brought into thermally conductive connection in the condenser (40) in order to cool the air (60). To obtain minimal external dimensions of the laundry drier in relation to the useful interior space and to allow the condenser (40) to be easily removed from the laundry drier or easily opened for cleaning purposes, the condenser (40) is arranged on an outer wall (22), preferably incorporated in the door (11). |
