PURPOSE:To suppress the deterioration of picture quality by outputting leading data behind the connecting part of a multiplexed signal without applying DPCM (Differential Pulse Code Modulation) encoding by limiting the number of data bits, and performing the DPCM encoding on data behind setting the leading data as an initial value. CONSTITUTION:The devices are the signal encoder in which a signal of TCI (Time Compressed Integration) system is high efficiently encoded as it is and the device to recover the signal encoded at the signal encoder to an original signal, and both a first change-over switch 8 and a second change-over switch 10 are switched only when the leading data of a luminance signal is inputted to an input terminal 1, and the leading data is outputted without being DPCM- encoded, and the data behind is DPCM-encoded sequentially setting the leading data as initial data. In such a way, it is possible to reduce the deterioration in the picture quality due to the TCI system. |
