PURPOSE:To automatically arrange the interval of the holding member of a carrier by setting it in accordance with the variation of the size of base plates, in a conveyor which is made adaptable to variably sized numerous kinds of plate-form objects to be conveyed. CONSTITUTION:When a carrier 3 is fed in between blocks 12, 13 by the travel of a chain 2, a stopper 15 is protruded by operating a cylinder 14, and the carrier 3 is stopped. When a motor 18 is operated, a moving block 22 is moved until a detector 32 is operated. A clamper 27 is sent down by operating a cylinder 25, and it is fitted to a block 8. A finger 30 is fitted to the head part of a screw 10, and the screw 10 is loosened by its turning. In a control means 35, the position of the block 8 which has been detected by a detector 32 is compared with the position of the block 8 which is newly determined, the command on the basis of computed result is applied to the motor 18, the moving block 22 is slid. Then, the block 8 is slid together, and the interval of fingers 6, 9 is changed. |
