PURPOSE:To improve the adhesive and sealing property of periphery of an armoring label and the shoulder of a unit cell by spreading an adhesive to the upper and the lower shoulders of the unit cell respectively, and heat-contracting the armoring label while closely contacting the upper and the lower peripheries of the armoring label protruding from both ends of the cylindrical surface of the unit cell to the shoulders. CONSTITUTION:An armoring label 8 is wound one fold and attached to the cylindrical surface of a unit cell 10, and contacted each other while they are superposed partially not to make a clearance at the ends of the label. And an adhesive 9 is spread to the upper and the lower shoulders of the unit cell 10, that is, to the surface periphery of a sealing gasket 5 and the surface periphery of a negative electrode terminal plate 7' respectively. The armoring label 8 is made a little larger than the height of the unit cell 10, the upper and the lower ends of the label 8 are protruded from the both end surfaces of the unit cell, the protruding parts are squeezed by an adequate jig in the axial direction to contact closely to the shoulders of the unit cell 10 the adhesive 9 is spread, and the armoring label 8 is heat-contracted under such a condition. As a result, the close contact of the shoulders of the unit cell 10 and the peripheral parts of the armoring label 8 is kept in a very good condition by the adhesive 9, and the sealing property at the parts is also improved. |
