Engine braking system controlled by outlet cam - involves method of doubling effective braking stroke
摘要
The engine brake systems is for a 4-stroke engine. It is controlled by the outlet cam in which the outlet is already open at the end of the compression stroke such that with the ensuing downwards stroke fresh gas is sucked through the outlet. As a result of advancing the outlet control time compression takes place in the braking mode and each piston stroke in the braking mode means compression with an immediate release of gas. USE/ADVANTAGE - Engine braking system for vehicles which by doubling the braking stroke and decompression at the end of the compression stroke gives a much improved braking effect.
