<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for key operation by providing a retrieval information area separately from an information area, specifying some of pieces of retrieval information by utilizing sound information contained in retrieval information, and retrieving an information block corresponding to the information area. CONSTITUTION:When a desired name of music is voiced from a speaker 206, an operator presses a selection switch. Once the pressing of the music selection switch is detected, the reproduction of names of music is stopped and a tape is run fast. Then, a check on whether an information area following a retrieval information area comes or not is made and when comes, a counter 208 goes down by one. A nonsound section is detected to detect the end of one piece of music unless the contents of the counter 208 are 0, and then the counter 208 goes down by one; when the contents of the counter 208 are 0, the beginning of selected music is positioned, so fast forwarding is stopped, thereby performing normal reproduction operation.</p> |
