The digital computing system provides the facility for the real time processing of sequential data words, in which a pyramid processor operates together with external units, comprising an image memory, arithmetic logic unit and analogue signal processor. The pyramid processor consists of 4 main units, namely, a filter logic unit (200) , a group of logic units (206,208,210,212), a memory system (214,216) and clock generator-control logic. The filter unit provides a facility for the selection of one or more of a number of inputs. The memory provides storage of signals in association with the multiplexer and control logic.
