PURPOSE:To reduce man-hour by forming the top end of a tubular body to a convergent shape, inserting a conductor into the tubular body, cutting the top end by a spark and welding and closing the same. CONSTITUTION:The convergent part 4a of a tubular body 4 pressed to a straight tubular shape having a prescribed length is formed by drawing to a convergent shape which is a size smaller. A male punch is put into the cut port at the foremost end and is flared to a conical shape, then a conductor 3 is pulled up from the rear of the inside. The proper point in the top end part 4a formed to a convergent shape is cut by the spark of a welding machine and at the same instant, the end part is welded together with the conductor 3 in the inside to close the peak part 4c. The tubular body 4 and the internal conductor 3 are cut uniformly to a desired length and are welded in the above-mentioned way, by which the formation of a terminal pin P is completed. Said pin is attached in a mouthpiece 1 according to the application thereof and a complete mouthpiece of a fluorescent lamp is completed. |
