Method of repairing damaged dental crowns and auxiliary device for performing the method

The present application relates to a method of repairing damaged dental crowns without removing them, which is characterised in that the chipped-off parts of the final coat are removed by grinding down to bright metal in the region of the damaged site, whereupon a predetermined number of holes is drilled into the metal in the region of the chipped-off site, and pins are screwed into these holes. The pins are provided with a screw thread and terminate at one end, specifically at the upper end, with a retention head, preferably having a mushroom shape. Thereafter, a repair composition is sprayed on and adapted, and this is followed by final modelling and adaptation to the old material still present. The invention furthermore relates to an auxiliary device in the form of a pin for performing the method.
