PURPOSE:To allow the exact calculation of word candidates at a high speed by executing word voice recognition by the system of two stages consisting in obtaining rough broadly classification word candidates by a large classification recognition processing and further pinpointing the broadly classification word candidates by subdivided classification recognition processing to obtain subdivided classification word candidates. CONSTITUTION:A character extracting means 101 extracts character quantities from each of the plural parts of the input word voices. A broadly classification recognition means 106 computes the similarity of respective learning word voices 110 stored in a dictionary memory means 104 and unknown input word voices 111 via respective means and outputs the same as the broadly classification recognition means 112 with sequence in order of the learning word voices of the higher similarity. DP matching with the vowel systems outputted from a vowel system dictionary memory means 108 and a vowel system recognition means 107 respectively is executed and the subdivided classification word candidates 113 are outputted. The word candidates are exactly pinpointed in this way and the high-speed recognition is executed. |
