摘要 PURPOSE:To execute a reduction with high reduction rate to any binary image with high quality by dividing the inputted binary image into conversion objective blocks composed of plural picture elements corresponding to respective picture elements of the binary image after a reducing conversion and processing the image. CONSTITUTION:The subject processor has a binarization threshold dicision processing part 4 to execute a calculation to a total value A of the multivalue data of the peripheral eight blocks of the conversion objective block calculated by a multivalue data addition processing part 3 and to execute the processing to decide a binarization threshold T to the conversion objective block and a binarization processing part 5 to convert a multivalue data xO of the conversion objective block to the binary data of '1' or '0' at the binarization threshold T to the conversion objective block decided by the binarization threshold decision processing part 4 and to output the data as binary image data B0 after the conversion of the conversion objective block. Namely, the inputted binary image is processed by dividing it into the conversion objective blocks composed of plural picture elements corresponding to respective picture elements of the binary image after the reducing conversion. Thus, the reducing conversion with good quality can be executed in which the contour image of the input image is reserved as much as possible according to the reduction rate.
