MIXTURES OF STABILIZERS FOR PLASTICS

Mixtures of stabilizers containing (a) alpha -tocopherol and (b) glycerin mono-, di- and/or triesters of saturated or unsaturated fatty acids or mixtures thereof. Plastics stabilized with these mixtures of stabilizers are highly resistant to discoloration and polymer breakdown during processing. The mixtures of stabilizers exhibit low water absorption and hence improved stability to hydrolysis.
