FRONT LIGHTING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE:To prevent localized heating of a vehicle body surface by sunlight irradiating a front end of a lens by installing appropriate projector-type front lights in a recessed position under a body cover or a body attachment. CONSTITUTION:In each of projector-type front lights F, an electric lamp is located at a first focus near a reflecting mirror with an elliptical surface and the focus of a lens placed in front of a second focus is made to coincide with the second focus. The front lights F are installed to the right and left in a narrow area above a front fender 44 inside a leg shield 43. The front of the area is kept open and its top is covered by the leg shield 43 with the lights mounted in a recessed position from the open end. This configuration can prevent sunlight from entering a convex portion of the lens from above, avoiding the body surface below it being heated.
