PURPOSE:To perform a smooth and prompt speed change by detecting an operating pressure of the first hydraulic piston for a high speed clutch and the second hydraulic piston for a low speed clutch and, when the one is placed in a half clutch, suddenly placing the other in a half clutch thereafter gradually increasing the pressure. CONSTITUTION:Power of an engine E is transmitted to a main clutch 1, second cylindrical shaft 3 through a hydraulically driven subtransmission A from the first cylindrical shaft 2 and to a transmitting shaft 4 through a main transmission B. The transmission A is formed by the first friction clutch 7 obtaining a high speed by the first hydraulic piston 7P directly coupled and the second friction clutch 8 obtaining a low speed by the second hydraulic piston 8P through a gear 6. A sensor, detecting a pressure of operating oil in the first and second hydraulic pistons, and a drive load sensor are provided, and its signal operates a speed change control mechanism, when the one hydraulic piston is decreased to a half clutch oil pressure, the other is suddenly placed by a signal of the detecting sensor in a half clutch oil pressure subsequently gradually increased. Accordingly, a smooth and prompt speed change can be attained with no waste time. |
