<p>PURPOSE:To absorb a shock by forming a reduction gear which is provided in a course for transmitting the rotation of an electric motor to a rack with A-line and B-line side gear mechanisms and restraining the rotation of the A-line side ring gear by means of a friction torque slip mechanism while restraining the rotation of the B-line side ring gear by means of pins. CONSTITUTION:A second pinion 7 is rotated by driving an electric motor (m) via a reduction gear R, thereby moving a rack 4 formed on a steering link 3 in the axial direction to steer a wheel 1 via a knuckle arm 2. The reduction gear R consists of an A-line side gear mechanism positioned on the electric motor (m) side, a B-line side gear mechanism positioned on a pinion shaft 6, and a ring gear 10 installed on the inner periphery side of a case 8. The ring gear 10 is divided into A-line side and B-line side ring gears and the rotation of the A-line side ring gear 27 is restrained by a friction type torque slip mechanism 30 formed by energizing a pad 32 to the ring gear 27 side by means of a spring 33, while restraining the rotation of the B-line side ring gear 28 by means of a plurality of pins 28.</p> |
