<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the connection between a leading tape and a magnetic tape and at the same time to prevent the separation of joints, by shifting the joints at each edge part in the width direction of the magnetic tape to perform the above-mentioned connection and then controlling the position of the joints by means of a tape guide. CONSTITUTION:An end of a leading tape 11 is stuck to a take-up reel 13; while the other end of the tape 11 is adhered to a male joint 19. At the same time, the root part of the joint 19 is fixed with a stopper 18. A cartridge 21 is set at a position which is higher than the tape running path by a stage. A female joint 20 which is moved down from the position of the cartridge 21 and attached to the tip of a magnetic tape 12 within the cartridge 21. Then the stopper 18 is turned outward to release the fixture of the joint 19, and then the reel 13 is driven. Thus loading is started for the tape 12.</p> |
