PURPOSE:To prevent the flowing-out of the electrolyte when the valve of an antiexplosive type assembly sealing plate is operated, by placing a powder-form or a flim-form viscosity promoting agent such as methylcellulose between the positive electrode terminal cap of the assembly sealing plate and an aluminum foil valve body for antiexplosive purpose. CONSTITUTION:Between a positive electrode terminal cap 2 and an aluminum foil valve body 3, a viscosity promoting agent such as methylcellulose partially made into sheet-form is placed. In this case, the viscosity promoting agent placed beforehand is contacted with the electrolyte when the aluminum foil valve body 3 is operated, and blocks the exhaust ports 2a and 2c of the positive electrode terminal cap 2 as well as increases the viscosity of the electrolyte. As a result, the flowing-out of the electrolyte is prevented, and the apparatus in use is never contaminated by the electrolyte. The reliability of the battery can be improved consequently. |
