PURPOSE: To obtain a catalyst having a high selectivity and specific volume activity by using a granular active catalyst comprising an oxide of a specified metal and forming into a wheel shape with spokes or a rosette shape. CONSTITUTION: This catalyst for oxidation and ammonoxidation of α,β-unsatd. hydrocarbons consists of a granular active catalyst material expressed by [Mo, V,W]12 Bia [Fe,Ce]b [Ni,CO,Zn]c [alkali]d [P,As,Sb,B]e [Si,Al,Ti]f Ox (wherein a=0.1 to 5, b=0.1 to 10, c=1 to 15, d=0.01 to 2, e=0 to 2, f=0 to 30, x is the number of oxygen atoms necessary to saturate valences of other components). The catalyst is formed into a wheel shape with 3 to 5 spokes or a rosette shape, having 0.5 to 4 mm wall thickness and 3 to 20 mm diameter. The obtd. catalyst shows high selectivity and specific volume activity. |
