PURPOSE:To obtain an expellent of cockroach attracting and destroying cockroaches effectively without requiring much labor, having high attracting effects by blending an attracting substance prepared by impregnating an attracting component to an attracting component absorbing material made by mechanically grinding a plant with a feed substance and boric acid. CONSTITUTION:An attracting substance prepared by impregnating an attracting component, a volatile component extracted from bulbs, leaves, stems, etc., of a plant such as preferably garlic belonging to the family Liliaceae or an organic compound such as oleic alcohol or octylic acid containing OH group or COOH group into an attracting component absorbing material made by mechanically grinding a plant material such as wood or rice straw is blended with a feed substance such as rice bran and boric acid as an insecticidal component. The blend is kneaded, made into any shape, dried and solidified to give an expellent of cockroach having the above-mentioned effects. Since the attracting component of the expellent is impregnated into the absorbing material and the absorbing material is exposed even if the outer surface of the expellent is bit, attracting effects will not disappear in a short period. |
