The process comprises reaction of dimethyl phosphate in toluene solution of sodium methoxide catalyst in the form of 23% methanol solution (15% relative to dimethyl phosphate on a molar basis). The reaction temp. is 60-70 deg.C. Distillation of the volatile components completes the production of O,O,O-tetramethylurea- bis-methane phosphonate.
