PURPOSE:To make the number of unit resistors minimum in weighing resistors for trimming, which are constituted by R, 2R, 2<2>R,... 2mR, R, 2m+1R, by making 2m/2R to be the unit resistor when (m) is an even number, and making 2m+ 1/2R to be the unit resistor when (m) is an odd number. CONSTITUTION:As weighing resistors 201-206, R, 2R, 2<2>R, 2<3>R, R, and 2<4>R are used. The resistors are shorted by metallic wiring links 10. Since the (n)th resistance is 204, (n) becomes 4. Therefore, 2<2>R, which is the third resistor from the (n/2+1)th resistor, is used as the unit resistor. Namely, the resistor 203 is one piece. Since 202 is one half the resistor 203, two resistors each having the same pattern as that of the resistor 203 are connected in parallel. Two unit resistors are connected in series in the 204. Four unit resistors are connected in parallel in the 205 as well as in the first resistor group 201. All together, 13 resistors are formed. Meanwhile, the value of the 206 is equal to the total value of 201-205. When the value is converted to the value of the unit resistor 203, the series resistance value of four pieces is obtained. Therefore, the 206 can be formed by four pieces. Therefore, the device is completed by 17 unit resistors in all. |
