发明名称 MANUFACTURE OF MERCURATED ZINC ALLOY POWDER FOR ALKALINE CELL
摘要 PURPOSE:To restrain generation of hydrogen gas and improve the corrosion resistance and also the discharge performance while the content of mercury is decreased by making dismuth to be displaced and deposited on the surface of zinc-lead alloy powder and then, mercurating it with indium-mercury alloy. CONSTITUTION:Bismuth is made to be displaced and deposited on the surface of zinc-lead alloy powder containing a prescribed quantity of lead to form a bismuth layer. Then, the zinc-lead alloy powder having the bismuth layer is mercurated with indium-mercury alloy to form an indium-mercury alloy layer on the external circumference of the powder. Meacurated zinc alloy powder to be obtained contains lead at 0.01-2.0wt.%, bismuth at 0.05-0.2wt.%, indium at 0.01-0.1wt.% and mercury at 0.01-1.0wt.%. When a content of each of lead, bismuth and indium is less than the lower limit, its addition effect on restriction of hydrogen gas generation and improvement of discharge performance are small, and even if the content exceeds the upper limit, no addition effects are produced over the above addition effect. Thereby, it is possible to restrict generation of hydrogen gas and improve corrosion resistance and also discharge performance.
