PURPOSE:To improve the operation efficiency of a ship by determining actual horizontal distance between two specified points on a display. CONSTITUTION:When counts of a Y-axis counter 15 coincides with n2, a comparator circuit 39 transmits a coincidence pulse and the transmission side position Pn2 latched 49 from a memory 44 is latched 53. A subtraction circuit 54 subtracts a value sent from the circuit 53 from the value sent from the circuit 49. By so doing, the subtraction circuit 54 calculates the distance between sequential measuring positions in the memory 44 each time output value of an addition circuit 47 varies after the latching operation of the circuit 53. Then, when output value of the counter 15 coincides with n1 and a coincidence pulse is sent out from a comparator circuit 38, the current output value Pn1-Pn2 of the subtraction circuit 54 is latched and provided to a display 56. This display value represents a horizontal distance between the actual position shown by a variable marker M1 and the actual position Pn2 shown by a variable marker M2. |
